What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?Cognitive Hypnotherapy operates on the understanding that no single approach works for everyone. Different individuals may require different treatment options, even if they share the same issue. The focus is on steering clear of labels and instead helping clients uncover the thought patterns, behaviors, and personal history that contribute to their challenges. From there, we create a tailored treatment plan that aligns with the unique way each client thinks.

Can hypnotherapy help in sports?Yes, definitely! As sports are not only physical but mental, hypnotherapy can help work on that mental side. It can reduce the worries of the athlete and help them get into a desirable emotional state for their needs.
-
How much do you charge? For a session, I charge £85/€100. The first session is 70-80mins and subsequent sessions are 55mins (all priced the same). This includes all costs such as the personalised audio recording.

What does hypnosis feel like?Have you ever been completely absorbed in an activity? That's very similar to how hypnosis feels because, in those moments, we enter a trance-like state. It's said that the vast majority of our behavior is guided by our unconscious mind, making hypnosis a familiar experience. Some people describe it as a deep state of relaxation, while others feel a heightened sense of focus.
-
Can anyone be hypnotised? The short answer is yes, but only if you're willing. I cannot, and would not, hypnotize anyone against their will. This is why I don't take on clients who aren't genuinely committed to change: it would be a waste of time for both of us and money for the client. If you're not quite ready to make a change, feel free to save my details and contact me when you are.
-
What if I don't wake up?I've never encountered a client in this situation. If I were to leave a client in the middle of a hypnosis session, they would either drift off to sleep and wake up naturally or become bored and open their eyes. The idea that someone can remain in hypnosis indefinitely is just a myth.
-
Is it safe? Will I lose control?Hypnotherapy is extremely safe. To date, no malpractice cases have been filed against a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. In my practice, I assist clients in entering self-hypnosis, where they remain in complete control throughout the session. I strictly follow the Code of Ethics set by the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapists), and the Quest Institute.
-
How do you work with children and teenagers? If I am working with a child under the age of 16, a parent or legal guardian needs to be present in the room. I can also record online sessions. In addition, if the person is under 18, the therapist needs an enhanced DBS check to work with them.
-
What about confidentiality? The Codes of Ethics that I adhere to extensively deals with the importance of confidentiality. I will not disclose anything discussed during sessions or in email conversations to anyone, including close relatives, without explicit permission from my client. Of course, the client is freely able to discuss their session with anyone they choose.
-
What if I decide that hypnotherapy is not for me?If at any point you decide that I am not the right therapist for your needs or that hypnotherapy is not for you, you're under no obligation to continue working with me.
-
Are you insured by any insurances or compliances?Yes, I am fully insured by Holistic Insurance Services Ltd. I also hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate (11/09/2024). These details are available on request.
